Send conversions to LinkedIn Conversions API

Send conversions attributed to first-party identifiers (First party cookie or Click Id or an email) to LinkedIn Conversions API, facilitating reporting of offline conversions precisely attributed to the sources.

According to the LinkedIn's conversion tracking guide, such integration provides the best signal reliability.

Configure LinkedIn

  1. To activate click IDs as a first party cookie tracking, you need to Access LinkedIn Insight Tag in Campaign Manager and enable Enhanced conversion tracking. This automatically appends a click ID parameter li_fat_id to the landing page URLs every time a user clicks on a LinkedIn ad and is redirected to advertiser's landing page. This is enabled by default for all new Insight Tags that are recently created. For more information, see Insight Tag Troubleshooting guide.
  2. Create one or several Conversion Rules for tracking API conversions.

Generate Access Token

In Able Dashboard, press "Add Service Integration" and select "LinkedIn".

To send conversion data directly to LinkedIn, generate access tokens for authentication from Campaign Manager ad account. You don't need to create a developer application or apply for the Conversions API through the developer portal. The generated access tokens don't expire.

  • In the left menu of your Campaign Manager ad account, click Data then select Signals Manager.
  • Click Direct API, then click Generate access token.
  • Sign in to your LinkedIn account and follow the instructions.
  • Once your access token is displayed, click anywhere on the token to copy it. Then paste and save it below.

Enable sending of conversion events to LinkedIn
