Make your consent logic auditable, not siloed knowledge. Document what you send with no consent vs opt-in, and keep evidence (CMP logs, tag/container versions, change tickets) so you can explain decisions later—internally or to regulators.

Ongoing monitoring: EMQ, event coverage, and diagnostics cadence

Set a monitoring baseline you actually review, not just glance at during incidents. Track trends weekly (and after releases), including:

  • EMQ trend on key events (Lead/Purchase), not single-day spikes
  • Coverage ratio: backend “truth” (orders/leads) vs events received in Meta
  • Diagnostics warnings (missing value/currency, timestamp issues, schema mismatches)
  • Duplicate rate (especially Purchase) and unexpected “Server + Browser” combos

Token hygiene: permissions, rotation, environment separation

Use System User tokens with least-privilege permissions, rotate on a schedule, and separate dev/staging/prod tokens and Pixels/Datasets. Store tokens in a secret manager, restrict access, and log changes so you can quickly trace “who changed what.”
